OUR IMPACT

Art + Social Justice

During times of racial, economic, political, health or environmental crisis – issues of particular inequities rise to the surface. Art + Social Justice engages students with pivotal and complex social issues related to race to investigate how during tension points artists become powerful agents of change.

Rene Payne has partnered with Gina Belafonte, Executive Director of Sankofa informing, enlightening and educating high school, undergraduate and graduate students around social justice issues through artmaking.
