Emmett Till Memory Project
The Emmett Till Memory Project (ETMP) is an online platform established as a response to the ongoing vandalism of sites commemorating Emmett Till’s life and lynching and the civil rights legacy of his mother, Mamie Till-Mobley. Working closely with the Till Family, included designed the website for the project and an accompanying GPS-equipped app; together they take users (virtually or in person) to 23 key locations. This project again places Emmett’s story front and center in the collective consciousness, while educating a new generation about him and the Jim Crow South.
