Daughters of the Movement

The Daughters of the Movement is a group of Black women whose family legacies are deeply intertwined with the campaign for civil rights. They embody the oral history, cultural values, and wisdom of the revolutionary leaders who helped turn the tide of American history. included created an informational online platform for the group, taking inspiration for the site’s visual collage from the designs of the Gee's Bend Quilters Collective.
